The Government of South Australia's passenger and light commercial motor vehicle fleet is owned and managed by the South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA).
SAFA is responsible to provide fleet management services to government agencies, such as:
- contract management and performance monitoring;
- short-term hire vehicles
- strategic fleet management
- delivery of government fleet policies.

Sale of Government Vehicles
Government passenger and light commercial vehicles are sold through Pickles Auctions, at completion of lease. There are several weekly auctions and fixed priced sales through which SA Government vehicles can be purchased, and these can be viewed here.
